Approximately 500 youth from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Orissa, gathered at Vishakapatnam for the Youth Congress conducted by East Central India Union that ended with many pledging to become true disciples of Christ.
This congress gave youth leaders the opportunity to connect with these young people and know their needs. Through the inspiring messages presented by the guest speakers, the youth were made aware of their identity in Christ and helped them understand God’s purpose for their lives.
The presenters challenged the youth to wake up and make bold changes particularly in their spiritual lives. The young people were counselled to walk away from youthful sins that satan uses to enslave them and be diligent in studying God’s word. They were urged to take action and accept God’s call to be His true witnesses during these last days of before Christ’s return.
The youth delegates responded to the call made by various speakers by pledging to remain faithful witnesses and recommitting their lives to Christ and for His service.
The Spirit of the Lord moved powerfully among the people and it resulted in many coming forward to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour. Praise God!
The youth department of ECIU and Southern Asia Division is committed to guiding young people to walk in the footprints of Jesus by teaching them the vital foundations of biblical teachings on various issues and aspects of life, establish them in the truth and helping them to choose the TRUTH (Jesus) among the many falsehoods (other gods) in this world.
The youth congress was conducted by the Youth Department of East Central India Union in collaboration with the Southern Asia Division Youth Department from May 22-25, 2024.
