NABH Accreditation – METAS

On August 1, 2016 the METAS Adventist Hospital became the 1st Hospital in Southern Asia Division to be accredited by the NABH: National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare providers and is a constituent board of the Quality Council of India.

This recognition authenticates that our hospital’s standards are in consonance with recognized global benchmarks.  This status has now placed the hospital at the forefront of healthcare in the city of Surat. It assures healthcare-seekers of the quality of care given to them is on par with the global standards of health care. This has boosted the morale of the hospital workforce and reinstated their faith in compassionate service towards mankind.

Prior to giving their seal of approval NABH ensures that the Hospital meets their exhaustively designed standards of healthcare that consists of 600 plus objective elements that the Hospital must have in order to achieve the NABH Accreditation.

These standards range from having standardized, consistent protocols and procedures beginning from registration, admission, pre-surgery and post-surgery, until the time of discharge from the hospital and follow-up after the discharge. Broadly speaking the aim of NABH is to streamline the entire operations of the hospital and make it more efficient, transparent and technologically advanced. Accreditation results in high quality care and patient safety.

Furthermore, the accreditation will boost medical tourism as many overseas patients will seek treatment for various ailments at the METAS Adventist Hospital.
